Neck Biopsies

If you have a lump or swelling in your neck that needs further investigation, our specialist radiologists offer ultrasound-guided neck procedures to help determine the cause with confidence.

Using advanced imaging and minimally invasive techniques, we target areas such as lymph nodes, salivary glands, and thyroid tissue to support timely and accurate diagnosis.

Neck Procedures

Lymph Node Biopsy - £800

Swollen neck lymph nodes can be caused by infections, inflammation, or more serious conditions like cancer. A biopsy involves taking a small sample to help identify the underlying cause so your doctor can provide the right diagnosis and treatment.

Fine Needle Aspiration of Thyroid - £800

Thyroid nodules are common and usually harmless, but some may require evaluation to rule out cancer or other conditions. Fine needle aspiration is a simple procedure that helps determine the nature of a nodule, guiding the best course of treatment.

Fine Needle Aspiration of Salivary Gland - £800

Salivary gland lumps can result from infections, inflammation, or tumours that need evaluation. Fine needle aspiration is a quick procedure that helps identify the cause, allowing your doctor to recommend the appropriate treatment.

FAQs

What does a neck biopsy involve?

The skin is carefully cleaned, and local anaesthetic is used to numb the area to ensure your comfort. Using ultrasound guidance, a special biopsy needle is precisely positioned to collect a few small samples from the area of concern. These samples are then sent to the laboratory for analysis.

After the procedure, we may ask you to stay in the clinic for 5 to 10 minutes to ensure you’re feeling well before you’re free to continue with your day.
