If you have a lump or area of concern in your groin, our experienced radiologists perform ultrasound-guided biopsies to investigate underlying causes with accuracy.
We use precise, minimally invasive techniques to assess lymph nodes and soft tissue, supporting clear and timely diagnosis.

The skin is carefully cleaned, and local anaesthetic is used to numb the area to ensure your comfort. Using ultrasound guidance, a special biopsy needle is precisely positioned to collect a few small samples from the area of concern. These samples are then sent to the laboratory for analysis.
After the procedure, we may ask you to stay in the clinic for 5 to 10 minutes to ensure you’re feeling well before you’re free to continue with your day.
The samples we collect are sent to our trusted partner laboratory for analysis. Results can take around one week to come back from the laboratory, which we will communicate to you via email. If any concerns arise, one of our specialist consultants will contact you to discuss the next steps and offer guidance.
Biopsies of groin lymph nodes may be recommended for individuals with persistent, unexplained, or enlarged lumps in these areas that need further investigation through sampling. These procedures help provide a more accurate diagnosis and guide appropriate care.
If you're unsure whether this procedure is right for you, we recommend starting with a diagnostic scan. One of our specialist consultants will review the findings and guide you on the most appropriate next steps. Every procedure we offer includes a diagnostic scan to ensure it is necessary and tailored to your needs.
You can book a diagnostic scan and one of our consultant radiologists can determine if a procedure is right for you.
