FAQs

Why should I choose an ultrasound scan?

Ultrasound is fast, non-invasive and effective at identify key areas of your health. Whether it's soft tissues, lumps and bumps, a recent or long term injury, or just for peace of mind, our appointments will make you feel welcome and confident in your next steps.

Is ultrasound safe?

Ultrasound is one of the safest ways to assess your health. It's non-invasive, uses no radiation and is performed by highly trained professionals working across the NHS and private sector.

How long does it take?

Most of our ultrasound imaging takes less than 20 minutes, making this an accessible option if you need to fit it in around your busy schedule.

If you request MRI or CT or are referred further, these scans may take longer but we will aim to book you into our trusted imaging partner at a time that suits you most.

When do I find out my results?

You will be guided through the scans and anything will be discussed with you there and then. Following the appointment, a full report will be written up and sent to you digitally, usually within a few hours or the following day. This can be taken to your GP or for further referral if anything needs explored, but our radiologists will advise on the best next steps.

Do you offer procedures?

Yes - sometimes areas of inflammation may come up in a scan, or a nodule or lump that needs further attention. We try to accommodate and offer further procedures there and then so you don't need to come back and should only take 10-15 minutes longer on any appointment.
